Moonlight Serenade Apparel is a contemporary plus-size dress and lingerie collection with a variety of clothing in both prints and colors. We believe that our curvy customers should have the option to feel both fashionable and sexy without having to sacrifice comfort or style. We consider the feel, drape and comfort of the fabric, as well as the overall quality of all of the garments in our collection.

Moonlight Serenade Apparel understands that in this day and age, there is an overwhelming need for curvy fashion in the retail marketplace. According to the popular website Dailymail.com, “The plus-size market is one of the most neglected sectors in fashion” and “Plus-size consumers are hungry for more options, unique options, not just same thing off the rack.” We do not take existing clothing lines and distort them to fit a bigger size like most clothing manufacturers. We custom design all of our clothing to specifically fit the plus-sized form in an attractive and sexy way.

CBS MoneyWatch recently reported that “…sales of women's plus-size clothing (defined as size 12 and above) rose 6 percent to $21.4 billion in 2016... (and) by 2020, revenue in the category could hit $24 billion.” Fashionista.com wrote “New York Fashion Week's Spring 2018 runways… showcased more plus-size models than ever before.”

A 2016 study by the International Journal of Fashion Design, Technology and Education concluded that the average American woman is now between sizes 16 and 18 and although there are many companies who offer plus-sized women options, according to the Fashionspot website, “…most selections are limited and dull, designed to cover women up instead of celebrating their curves.” Moonlight Serenade has set its mission to change this by designing clothing that will help to prove that the plus-sized women is beautiful. By providing cloths that are fashionable, classy, upscale, elegant and classy, we hope to show people that the curvy women are every bit as sexy as the petite and it’s time that they actually began to celebrate their curves.

Kara Oguschewitz is both the owner and head designer of Moonlight Serenade. She is a graduate of prestigious F.I.T. (Fashion Institute of Technology) in New York City and has been designing clothing for more then 20 years. Working extensively in both New York and California, her designs reflect her passion for both prints and colors, as she incorporates them into her contemporary dress and lingerie designs. Kara has designed for companies such as Rampage, Caroll Little and BCBG, creating designs that have sold in stores like Nordstrom, Dillard’s, & Hot Topic. Through her Moonlight Serenade Brand, Kara wishes to continue to provide stylish clothing that will allow her customers to feel fashionable and sexy.
